William Wallace

October 31, 1931 — February 14, 2021

William Wallace, 89, of Gladwin, passed away following a brief illness on Sunday, February 14, 2021. He was born on October 31, 1931, the son of Robert and Evelyn (Johnston) Wallace in Detroit, MI. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Chevy Motor Post on Corunna Rd. In 1983, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Porter in Flint. She preceded him in death on January 23, 2021. They were blessed with 37 years of marriage. In Williams spare time he was an avid golfer and hunter. When he wasn’t in the woods or on the course he enjoyed watching golf and NASCAR.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Julie and Dennis Coleman, Catherine and John Cunningham, Ryan and Christine Wallace, and Andrea and Steve Lowe; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his step children: Jamie and Scott Gray, Richard and Susan MacInnes, Pat and Rik Duce. He is also survived by his sister in law: Sandra Stowell.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, wife, son: Michael Wallace, and two brother: Robert and Don Wallace.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 1 P.M. in Grand Blanc at Crestwood Memorial. Arrangements are in the hands of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home-Gladwin.
