Willard Leyrer

Willard Leyrer, 91, of Gladwin, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022. He was born on December 9, 1930, the son of Orville and Bernice (Davey) Leyrer in Saginaw. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his county during the Korean War. On Sept. 5, 1953, he married the love of his life Rose Taylor in Saginaw. He was employed for General Motors as a Machine Repairman in Saginaw until his retirement. Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Larry (Dawn) Leyrer of Marion and Micheal (Maria) Leyrer of Cloquet, Minnesota; daughters: Linda Bedtelyon of Saginaw, Mary Leyrer of Saginaw, and Kelley (Leslie) Lake of Rockledge, Florida; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Kay Healy, Patricia Hartnagle, and Joyce Peterson; brother: Dean Leyrer; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife: Rose Taylor; parents; grandchildren: Allyssa and Christian Lake; and 7 brothers and sisters. Funeral mass will be held January 7, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Gladwin, MI beginning at 11:00 A.M. The family will be receiving guests from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Willard will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, MI.
