Wendy Kareus

Wendy L. Kareus, age 68, of Sand Lake, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. She was born on September 2, 1955, to Donald and Emogene Hillier in Gladwin. Wendy graduated from Gladwin High School, raised her family in Beaverton, and spent the last 14 years in Sand Lake. She was a dedicated member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rockford. Wendy devoted her entire life to helping those around her. Her passion for volunteering extended over 30 years with 4H, and she served in various capacities in her local schools. Wendy had a deep admiration for her family and cherished her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Jeremiah (Jasmine) Kareus, Ryan (Monica Cribbs) Kareus, and Janet (Tony) Blackall; grandchildren: Alex, Christopher, Sierra, Zoe, Scarlette, and Axle; brother: Elias (Lisa) Hillier. Wendy is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Paula Bailey.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, Rockford. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Prayer Services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until the time of service.
