Wayne Sheets II, age 70, of Beaverton, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. He was born on May 27, 1954, to Wayne and Thelma (Page) Sheets. Wayne married Maureen Petrik on December 30, 1972, in Gladwin. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, he loved hunting, fishing, and making maple syrup every year with his friend Keith Wolfe. Wayne was an avid rockhound, a passion he shared with his parents, and enjoyed taking motorcycle trips. He cherished his little dog "Ruby," who was his constant companion, and treasured making memories with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maureen; his sons: Wayne Sheets III, Jeremy (Ann) Sheets, Mike (Sara) Sheets, and Aaron (Taurus) Sheets-Ligon; his grandchildren: Emalie (Cody) Gray, Randee (Austin) Anderson, Mikayla (Jacob) Schneider, Tayler Sheets, Austin Sheets, and Anjelica Sheets-Ligon; and his great-grandchildren: Addison, Lillyana, Joanna, Reid, and Kingston; sisters: Linda (Paul) Offenbecker and Diana Temain; along with many nieces and nephews. Wayne is preceded in death by his loving parents, Wayne A. Sheets and Thelma L. (Page) Sheets.
