Wanda Lee Millhisler, 75 of Beaverton, Michigan passed away in Traverse City, Michigan on Thursday, June 15, 2017. She was born in Midland, Michigan on November 3, 1941 the daughter of Clifford & Almira (Carey) Love. On November 25, 1960 she was united in marriage to her true love, Roger Millhisler in Midland. She had lived in Gladwin County since 1977, previously residing in Midland, and she was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Good Life R.V. Park where she held the office of Vice-President, and she was responsible for organizing all the events and activities at the park, and also worked as a volunteer at the Beaverton Activities Center. She started her work career as a Secretary at Dow Chemical Company in Midland, then she was employed for Mid Michigan Community College as Secretary for the Dean of Instruction, and she finished her working career as a Teacher for Gladwin Community Schools. Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband of 56 years, Roger Millhisler of Beaverton; son: Paul (Pam) Millhisler of Beaverton; daughters: Kari (David) Dawley of Beaverton; Kathi (Eric) Calhoun also of Beaverton. She was blessed with 5 beautiful grandchildren: Taryn, Dakota, Kassidy, Brenna and Blake. She will be dearly missed by her half-brothers: Bill (Carole) Allen; Perry Allen; Daniel “Bo” Preston; half-sisters: Kendra “Kandi” (David) Nichols; Beth (Carl) Cornell; Shirley (Robert) Cady as well as several nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her son: Mark; grandson: Damen; parents: Clifford & Almira Love; step-mother: Lona Love; half-brother: Mike Love. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor James Krach on Thursday, June 22, 2017, 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 5-9:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, Michigan. She will be laid to rest at Tobacco Twp. (Dale) Cemetery, Beaverton on Thursday, June 22, 2-17, 2:00 P.M.
