Virginia Gordon, 80, of Gladwin, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023. She was born on February 10, 1943, the daughter of Noah and Eileen (Willford) Baning in Gladwin. She worked for Mid-Michigan Community College as an Administrative Assistant until her retirement. On July 29, 2022, she was united in marriage to Donald Gordon. Virginia was devoted to her faith. She attended, worked, and volunteered for many years at the Assembly of God Church in Gladwin. Her passion was her dedication to her family. Her world revolved around her children and grandchildren. She was there and shared her love with all of them.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband: Don Gordon; children: Lynette (Brian) Laplow, Kristy Augustine, and Jenny (Jason) Lyons; grandchildren: Bobby (Lisa) Miller, Justin (Caitlyn) Laplow, Jon (Hailie) Laplow, Sean (Heather) Gordon, Kyle Gordon, Anna Augustine, Kegan Augustine, and Jyllian, Joel, and Jack Lyons; great grandchildren: Peyton Gordon, Chase and Kendra Baning, Brandon Cusumono, Nevaeh Fetteroff, Tahlia Augustine, Ethan Henry, and Aubree, Blayklee, Charlee, and Zander Laplow; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother: Noah Baning Jr.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, June 9, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at the Assembly of God Church in Gladwin. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 4-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin and on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
