Virginia Elaine (Kern) Berg, age 91, of Gladwin MI, passed away peacefully at the Horizon Senior Living Center in Gladwin on June 1, 2024. She was born on April 13, 1933 and graduated from Gladwin High School in 1952.
She was the youngest of three children born to Walter and Nellie (Breault) Kern, predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Ward and Leroy Kern.
Virginia married Richard (Dick) Berg on April 18, 1953, and they were happily wedded for over 50 years until Dick’s passing on November 29, 2004.
Throughout her life, Virginia loved to travel, camp, crochet, and cook. She was a cook for Gladwin Community Schools and active in the community through her long-time involvement in 4-H and her position as Treasure of the Gladwin Goodfellows for many years.
Virginia is survived by one daughter, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many loving relatives and friends by whom she will be dearly missed. Virginia has been interred at McClure Cemetery in Gladwin Township
