Vern Corlew, 70, of Beaverton passed away on June 9, 2023. He was born on August 10, 1952, the son of Julius and Nellie (Combs) Corlew. He was united in marriage to Sheryl LaMott (Thrush). Vern was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army. Vern loved going to casino, hunting, fishing, and stripping copper.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Sheryl Corlew; sons: Anthony (Melissa) Corlew and Philip Lamott; daughter: Laurie (Tony) Howey; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers: George (Carolyn), Wayne, Dale (Anita), Merrill (Carla), and Johnny (Jackie); brother in law: Jerry (Gladys) Scoby; sister in law: Linda Ramsey; old friend: Julie Corlew; along with several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sister: Anna Smith and brothers: Kenneth, Lester, Paul, and Kyle.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Brad Withrow on Friday, June 16, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 1-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. Memorial contributions may be made out to St. Judes.
