Vera Pauline (Huntley) Small, 91, passed away on May 10, 2018, at the Brook Senior Living in Gladwin, Michigan. She was born on May 22, 1926 to the late Simeon & Bertha Mansfield. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School for 35 years. Vera worked many years as an RN and then a caregiver. Her compassion for helping others and her love of the Lord touched many lives over the years. She is survived by her children: Garven (Janice) Huntley, Anara (Scott) Confer, & Kenton Huntley, special grandchildren: Daren (Marissa) Huntley, Krista Huntley, Brian (Wendy) Knochel, Katie (Ron) Koch, Sarah (Bush) Smith, Joshua Huntley, Shanna (Clay) Lewis, Amanda (Matt) Prince, Tabitha (Mike) Jones, 19 great grandchildren, sister in-law: Joyce Mansfield, special friends: Cathy Roundtree, Patty & Walt Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Lawrence Huntley, second husband: James Small, & 6 siblings. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Brook and also to Heartland Hospice for the care provided. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial will be conducted by Pastor James Krach at Homer Township Cemetery, Midland, Michigan.
