Thomas L. Palmiter, 80, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at his home on Monday, December 31, 2018. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 27, 1938 the son of Lester & Eunice (Neate) Palmiter. Thomas was proud to represent his country and he fulfilled his duty with the Michigan National Guard. On February 15, 1958 he was united in marriage to Patricia Vail in Detroit. He was employed with General Motors and worked at the Pontiac as well as the Warren plant before retiring. He had lived in Gladwin County for the past 29 years, previously residing in Davison, Michigan. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of nearly 61 wonderful years, Patricia Palmiter of Gladwin; son: Darrell (Suzanne) Palmiter of Virginia; daughters: Belinda (Richard Smith) Palmiter of Davisburg, Michigan; Lorae (Rick) Myers of Kansas. His children blessed him with 4 beautiful grandchildren: Caitlyn, Jacob, Justin and Jason. He is also survived by his sister: Marge LeBeouf of Warren; brother: Daniel Palmiter of Oregon and several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister: Mitzi Kritzman. Honoring the wishes of the family, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
