Thomas Jay Augustine

Thomas Jay Augustine, 84, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at his home on Friday, January 19, 2018. He was born in Oakland County Michigan on July 9, 1933 the son of Henry and Vivian (Kellogg) Augustine. On May 18, 1956 he was united in marriage to Donna Havens in Wixom, Michigan. They shared 59 wonderful years together before she predeceased him in 2015. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving his country during the Korean Conflict. Thomas was a Supervisor working at the General Motors Plant in Milford until his retirement. He had lived in Gladwin County since 2014, previously residing in Rose City, Michigan. Left to cherish his memory are his 2 daughters: Irene (Donald) Charlton of Gladwin; Connie Augustine of Canada; 2 sons: Thomas (Brenda) Augustine of Linden; Timothy (Debbie) Augustine of Mio. He was blessed with 10 beautiful grandchildren and 10 precious great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his brother: Joseph (Barbara) Augustine of L’Anse and sister: Toni (Harold) Render of Tecumseh; 2 sister in-laws: Ramona Augustine of Milford; Thelma Augustine of Sallisaw, Oklahoma and several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife: Donna Augustine; parents: Henry & Vivian Augustine; 1 sister: Jane Flumerfelt; 2 brothers: John “Jack” Augustine; David Augustine. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and Memorial Services will be conducted by Pastor Skip Metzler on Saturday, January 27, 2018, 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
