Theresa Marie Palka, 86, of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018. She was born on July 29, 1931, the daughter of Joseph & Victoria (Takacs) Seres in Melvindale, Michigan. On September 6, 1952, she was united in marriage to John J. Palka in Melvindale, Michigan. He preceded her in death in 1988. She was a homemaker, living in Beaverton since 1974, previously residing in Westland, Michigan. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace (St. Anne) Catholic Church in Edenville, Michigan. Her hobbies included quilting, bowling, dancing, and cooking for her family & friends. Left to cherish her memory is her 3 sons: Thomas (Georgene) Palka of Nashville; Michael Palka of Midland; David (Julie) Palka of East Jordan; 2 daughters: Judith (Clifford) Linsenman of Rose City; Deborah (Rick) McCulloch of Alden. Her children blessed her with 12 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother: Herbert (Barbara) Seres of Colorado. She is preceded in death by her husband: John Palka; daughter in-law: Kim Palka; 2 brothers: Joseph & Jim Seres. Funeral Mass will be conducted by Father Dan Fox on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, 11:00 A.M. with visitation beginning at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Grace (St. Anne) Catholic Church, Edenville, Michigan.
