Theodore "Ted" L. Barre

Theodore “Ted” Leroy Barre, 83, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 17, 2018. He was born in Newago, Michigan on April 28, 1935 the son of Theodore & Martha ( McClellen) Barre. In 1953 he married Lorna Gillette in Indiana. He was an Electrician, employed with Dow Chemical in Midland, Michigan until his retirement. Ted moved to Gladwin County 14 years ago and he was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and F.O.E. Secord Lake Aerie 4121. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing. He loved the water and was a Charter Captain of 3 different vessels on Lake Michigan.  His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 65 wonderful years, Lorna Barre of Gladwin; daughter: Veronica (Barre) Jacobsen; son: Larry (Kathy) Barre; Joe (Michelle) Barre; 7 beautiful grandchildren; 4 precious great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his brother: Peter (Jeanne) Barre; sisters: Sharon (Bill) Keech; Marlene (Orville) Tucker and several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Theodore & Martha Barre. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor James Krach at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, 11:00 A.M. with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, from 4-8 pm at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
