Steven Hynes

April 11, 1978 — October 4, 2024

Steven R. Hynes, 46, of Gladwin sadly passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at MidMichigan Medical Center. He was born on April 11, 1978, in Flint, the son of Steve & Karen Detzler.

Steven was a man who cherished life, immersed himself in the melody of music, embraced the warmth of family and friends, and shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews that filled his heart with joy. His love for life was evident in the way he approached each day, always with a smile and a kind word for those around him. He knew the value of family and friendship, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

He is survived by his parents: Steve & Karen Detzler of Beaverton; Grandmother: Sharon Govitz of Gladwin; siblings: Jeanne (Keith) Kleinbriel of Mt. Pleasant; Kellie (Art) Day of Gladwin; Nikkie (Max) Holmes of Beaverton; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, along with countless friends who felt his warmth and generosity.

We would like to thank the following: MidMichigan Medical Center Midland nurses and staff for their wonderful care during this time; and Hall Kokotovich for their services.

Steven will be cremated and laid to rest in Beaverton City Cemetery in Beaverton, Michigan. To commemorate his incredible journey a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Church of Daniels Band Wesley Branch in Beaverton, Michigan at 11:00 AM. We invite all who knew him to join us in remembering a truly remarkable man. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
