Stephen R. Balakovich

Stephen Roy Balakovich, 55, of Coleman, Michigan passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 20, 2018. He was born in Clare, Michigan on April 28, 1962 the son of Stephen & Pat (Spicer) Balakovich. On June 1, 1985, he was united in marriage to his true love, Yvonne Owens in Beaverton, Michigan. He had lived in Midland County for the last 4 years, previously residing in Gladwin. He loved spending time outside building birdhouses, table stands, flower stands and really enjoyed taking care of his lawn. He was a huge football fan and especially loved watching the University of Michigan play. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 32 years, Yvonne Balakovich of Coleman; 3 children: Andrew, Jill and Jane Balakovich. He will be dearly missed by his sisters: Julie (Gary) Wright of Gladwin; Polly (Phil) McKimmy of Coleman and brother: Howard Balakovich of Coleman; sister in-law: Linda Owens of Beaverton as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: Stephen & Pat Balakovich. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and Memorial Services will be conducted by Pastor Chris Slosser and Chaplain Peter Owens on Saturday, January 27, 2018, 12:00 P.M., with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. at the Coleman Wesleyan Church, 110 W. Webster Street, Coleman, Michigan, 48618. Those wishing to send an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers may send it to the family or chose to send it to someone in need.
