Sondra Joy Stillwagon, age 85, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Saturday, April 19, 2025, after a short illness. She was born in Bay City, Michigan on December 18, 1939, the daughter of Russell and Eunice Doramae (Couturier) Crowl Sr.
On September 10, 1956, she married her best friend Samuel Earl Stillwagon in Coleman, Michigan. Sondra was a stay-at-home mother. She worked briefly as a Custodian for Beaverton schools before starting her own cleaning business. She resided in Gladwin County for most of her lifetime.
She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and completing word searches and she loved camping and spending time with her children and many grandchildren.
She is survived by her five children, Becky (Roger) Miller of Beaverton, Barbara (Carl-deceased) Allbee of Beaverton, Brenda (Joseph) Miller of Burton, Michael (Christina) Stillwagon of Beaverton, and Bonnie (Walter) Fischer of Midland; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Peggy (special friend John) Yost of Beaverton; her borther Russell (Donella) Crowl Jr. of Beaverton and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Earl Stillwagon; her parents Russel and Eunice Doramae Crowl Sr.; her infant son, Samuel Earl Stillwagon Jr.; and sisters, Donna (Gene) Krocker and Celina Davis.
Honoring Sondra's wishes, cremation has taken place. A family celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
