Shirley Ann Corlew, 83, of Gladwin, MI passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Shirley was born on September 11, 1937, the daughter of Loren and Vera (Tuck) Buzzell in Gladwin. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Kenneth Devere Corlew, on August 7, 1954. She worked and raised her family in Mt. Morris before returning back to Gladwin after retirement in the early 80s. Shirley was the proud owner of S&K Lunch Wagon, where she and Kenneth traveled throughout mid-Michigan selling her delicious cooking and making new friends. Shirley’s home was always open and a place at her table was always waiting for family, friends and strangers alike.
Shirley is survived by her daughters: Dixie (Bob) Bissonette, Betty (Floyd) Starr, and Carol McKeever all of Gladwin; and a son: Don (Sandy) Corlew of Gladwin. Her children blessed her with 11 wonderful grandchildren, 30 beautiful great-grandchildren and 5 precious great-great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her sisters: Ruth Brubaker of Midland; Gladys Nichols of Auburn; and Judy Hayward of Clio; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth; parents, Loren and Vera; and brothers: Bob and Ronald Buzzell.
Funeral services for Shirley will be conducted by Pastor Brad Withrow on Thursday, May 13, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 4-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
