Rosemary Perry, 82, of Gladwin and Lady Lakes, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at the Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. She was born on January 20, 1938, the daughter of John & Theresa (Ankner) Pelt in Macomb County. She was united in marriage on September 10, 1960, to Donald Perry in Roseville at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He preceded her in death in 2014.

Rosemary was employed for General Motors and as a hairstylist before Don and Rosemary moved to Gladwin in 1974. In that year they purchased the Gladwin Heights Golf Course, which they owned and operated for 27 years until 2001. They moved after retirement to Harbor Hills in Lady Lake, Florida, where they enjoyed the warm weather and acquired many new friends. Rosemary enjoyed golfing and was an avid bowler. She loved playing mahjong with her friends in Florida. In her spare time Rosemary enjoyed reading, painting, crossword puzzles, watching her favorite shows, crocheting, and trips to the casino. She most of all loved her family and adored her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Donald Jr. (Rhonda) Perry, Elizabeth (Michael) Oberloier, and Kristine (Mark) Wilcox. Her children blessed her with 5 grandchildren: Rachael, Michael, Shane, Isabelle, and Anna; 2 great grandchildren: Karson, Vivian, and 2 more on the way. She is also survived by her brother: Jacob Pelt along several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; 4 siblings.

Funeral Mass will be conducted by Father J. Marcel Portelli on Friday, June 5, 2020, 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin. (Limited to 120) Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020, from 4-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan and on Friday, June 5, 2020, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp. Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made according to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. http://www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
