Ronald Lee Young, 73, of Gladwin, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024. He was born on April 1, 1951, the son of Maxwell James and Dorothy Bell (Gray) Young in Flint. On July 14, 1973, he married Valerie Vogel at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin. Ronald dedicated over 30 years of his life to General Motors Truck and Bus in Flint.
Ronald was a skilled woodworker and had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found joy in crafting beautiful pieces and spending time in nature.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Valerie Young, and their children: Paula (David) Julian, Ronda (Larry) Holloway, Julia Young, and Gloria Young (Lance). Ronald was also a cherished grandfather to Ashley (Trevern) Morris, John Julian, Marqueta Holloway, Kamille Holloway, Markinuis (Jayda) Person Jr., Amari Ramsay, Caia Pierce, and Teaccho Stokes. His legacy further lives on through his great-grandchildren: Kylan Morris, Valerie Morris, Ma Honi Johnson, Ma Loni Johnson, Karsyn Robinson, and Cornell Robinson. Ronald is also survived by his brothers: Jay (Vicki) Young, Bill (Sue) Young, and Joe (Ivy) Young, and sister, Marie Craig, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Stan Young. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
