Rocco Hosanna Wharff

Amy Athey, son, Rocco Wharff, daughter, Lydia Athey, all of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 18, 2018.

Amy Beth Athey, 42, was born, December 22, 1975, and raised by Chris Anderson & Beth McCool. She recently became reacquainted with her biological father: Ted Huffman.  Amy was a very devoted and passionate woman.  She was a loving mother, grandmother & friend. Under any circumstances she valued family more than anything. Among her many interests & hobbies, two stood out, cooking & gardening. Her meals were made with love & she was always proud of her gardens. She also took great pride in being the organizer & developer of what is today the Beaverton Farmer’s Market.

Rocco Hosanna Wharff, 17, was born, August 4, 2001, the son of Christopher Wharff & Amy Athey in Pontiac, Michigan. Rocco was a Senior at Beaverton High School. He loved living in Beaverton. Rocco was a real enthusiast of hunting & fishing. His passion was being outdoors & loving nature. He was so happy every time he visited the Athey Farm.  It is where some of his favorite and fondest memories were created.

Lydia Beth Athey, 9, was born January 3, 2009, the daughter of Dan & Amy Athey in Gladwin, Michigan. She was in the Fourth Grade at Beaverton Middle School. Lydia was a joyous bundle of youth. She was in her own ways a special diva girl. She could brighten up a room every time she walked in. Lydia had a sparkle in her eye that was one of a kind. Lydia had many hobbies as a young girl but she was very much into cheerleading with her friends & family.

Amy, Rocco & Lydia, will be forever loved and missed by all.

A Memorial Service for Amy, Rocco & Lydia will be conducted by Pastor Martin Hodge on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, 1:00 P.M. with a gathering beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the Beaverton Church of the Nazarene, Beaverton, Michigan. Memorial Contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who has helped.
