Roberta C. Convis

Roberta Catherine Segrove Convis, 84 of Gladwin, Michigan, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland, Michigan. She was born in Flint, Michigan, on June 27, 1933, to Faye and Ruby (Taylor) Segrove. Roberta was raised by Annabell and Grant Taylor in Mt. Morris, Michigan. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School in the Class of 1951. She was united in marriage to Donald J. Convis on July 27, 1951, in Flint, Michigan. Roberta enjoyed reading novels, knitting, crocheting and managing her home. Roberta also loved to bake and share the baked goods with others. Roberta loved to travel, visiting Italy with her daughter and granddaughter, and numerous trips to Florida. She was looking forward to visiting the Holland Tulip Festival before she became ill. Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband of nearly 67 wonderful years, Donald J. Convis of Gladwin. They had two children, Paula D. (Rick) Convis Soper of Birch Run, David J. (Joann) Convis of Florida. Roberta was blessed many times over with her beautiful grandchildren to cherish her memory, S. Christopher Soper (Margaret McIver), Laura (Michael) Soper Griffioen, David (Paula) Princing, Jamie (Alex) Princing Baker; David Doerr, Dale (Megan Crowley) Princing; Dale and Jackson Princing and brother Richard Roberts. She is also survived by many relatives and friends that will dearly miss her, too numerous to list. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and Memorial Service is being planned for a later date.
