Robert A. Thrush, 70, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away on October 4, 2017, at Mid-Michigan Health, Midland, Michigan. He was born on September 29, 1947, in Gladwin, Michigan the son of Gerald & Maudie (Parker) Scoby. He was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired police officer from Leslie Township and has lived most of his life in Gladwin County. Left to cherish his memory is his son: Robert Jr. (Lisa) Thrush of Arizona; daughters: Belinda (Roger) Peterson of Arizona; Lynette (Tim) Marshall of Leslie, Michigan; 11 grandchildren: Kayla Thrush; Dustin Thrush; Timothy (Gabby) Peterson; Chad Peterson; Kortney Peterson; Cheyann Scutt; Dakota Scutt; Hunter Carte; JW Withrow; Gabriella Marshall; Brooklyn Marshall; 6 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; father: Gerald Scoby; sister: Norma Jean Owens of Gladwin; brother: Charles Thrush of Mio, Michigan; 2 nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother: Maudie Scoby.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made according to the family and sent to 3265 Woods Road, Leslie, Michigan, 49251.
