Robert D. Killian

Robert D. Killian, 65, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away suddenly in Midland, Michigan on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. He was born in Gladwin, Michigan on June 9, 1953 the son of Arthur & Gladys (Anderson) Killian. On October 9, 1971 he married his true love, Kathy McCulloch in Beaverton. They shared 45 wonderful years together before she predeceased him in 2017. Robert was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County and owner of Sureshine Furniture.  He was Assistant Football Coach for Beaverton High School for over 20 years, and he loved his Field Trial Dogs. He loved to hunt coon and squirrel with his Mountain Cur dogs. His memory will be treasured by his only son: Robert (Tammy) Killian of Beaverton and granddaughter: Janessa Killian. He will be dearly missed by his brother: Arthur Jr. (Nikki) Killian of Traverse City; sister: Mary (Mike) Wysong of Howard City; 2 nephews and 1 niece. He is preceded in death by his wife Kathy Killian and his parents: Arthur Sr. and Gladys Killian.  Honoring Robert’s wishes, cremation will take place.
