Robert M. Grove Sr.

Robert M. Grove Sr., 63, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away, on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland, Michigan. He fought a short illness and was surrounded by his family to the end. He was born in Gladwin on September 29, 1955 the son of Aaron & Dorothy (Rogers) Grove, and he was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County. Bob always had a quick smile, kind word and wonderful sense of humor. He wore many hats through this life. He was a meat butcher, woodcrafter, did engraving and made beautiful music playing the piano. He at one time or another was employed at Larry’s Welding, Robinson Industries in Beaverton and Roy Craft Industries in Chesaning. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter: Sarah (Eric) Clark of Gladwin; son: Robert Grove Jr. of Gladwin; daughter: Lauren Grove of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was blessed with 3 beautiful grandchildren: Darren Cobb, Angel Cobb and Jasmine Grove. He will be dearly missed by his mother: Dorothy Rogers-Grove of Gladwin; sister: Colleen Grove-Sheehan (Tim) of Charlotte, MI; brother: William “Bill” Grove of Mt. Pleasant and several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his father: Aaron Grove; grandparents: Ray & Sarah Rogers and Omer & Goldie Grove. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and Memorial Services to honor his life will be conducted on Saturday, October 13, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
