Robert Dinkens, age 67, of Gladwin, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. He was born on July 21, 1957, the son of Bon Dale and Etta Mae (Brinsfield) Dinkens, in Flint. Robert was a dedicated and hardworking individual who owned and operated Dinkens Excavating for many years. He took great joy in passing down his knowledge and skills to his sons, especially when it came to working on machinery.
He is survived by his sons: Bobby Dinkens and Joseph Dinkens; siblings: Mary Ellen Dinkens Burns, Tammy Dinkens, and James Riley Dinkens; and nieces: Kayla Mae Dehoff and Jaime Ruth Fair.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bon Dale and Etta Mae.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a bring-a-dish memorial held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in West Branch. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
