Richard Gordon Robinette, was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on February 28, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Richard proudly served his country as an Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) specialist in the United States Army. He owned several businesses, including Robinette Plumbing and Mechanical, Cedar River Plumbing, and Guns & Stuff. A man of many talents, Richard also took to the skies as a small aircraft pilot, finding freedom and joy among the clouds.
He married the love of his life, Roxie, on December 1, 1962. Together, they built a marriage grounded in faith, laughter, and mutual adoration. Richard leaves behind his wife, Roxie and five children; Jon Robinette, married to Betty, Sheila Ringel, married to Ken; Kelly Ross, whose husband Ron preceded Richard in death; Josh Robinette, married to Melissa; and Russ Robinette, married to Amy. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beyond his family, Richard leaves behind a very loyal friend of many years, Greg Poulos. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Robinette, his mother, Mabel Robinette, and his brother Lynn Robinette.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Visitation will also take place on Monday, March 3, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 P.M at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Gladwin Infusion Services.
