Retired Chief Master Sergeant Richard E. Myrick, 83, of Greenbush, Michigan passed away in Saginaw, Michigan on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. He was born in Troy, Maine on November 14, 1934 the son of Frederick & Lena (Sargent) Myrick. On February 2, 1957 he was united in marriage to his true love, Rose Mary Karpinsky in Pendel, Pennsylvania. Richard retired from his career with the United States Air Force after 32 years, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam Era and served 2 tours of duty in Southeast Asia. He had lived in Alcona County for the last 38 years, and after his retirement, he owned and operated Myrick’s Farm and Field Milling Company in Mikado, Michigan. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of more than 61 wonderful years, Rose Mary Myrick of Greenbush, MI; his only son: Richard (Lisa) Myrick of Gladwin; grandchildren: Caroline Thornbury and James Burdreau; great granddaughter: Adeline Plonsky and several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter: Rosemary; parents; 4 brothers and 9 sisters. Honoring the wishes of the family, cremation will take place and his final resting place will be Sherman Township, Skeels Cemetery, Gladwin, Michigan.
