Richard E. Lindberg, age 85, of Gladwin, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. He was born on December 22, 1939, the son of Olaf and Mollie (Scribner) Lindberg, in Douglas County, MN. On June 16, 1989, he married the love of his life, Patricia Worden and together they shared many years filled with love and cherished memories. Richard was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Following his service, he was employed through General Motors for 32 years, until his retirement.
Richard was a true outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing, and he was always up for a round of golf or pool. Patricia would joke that he was her “wannabe farm boy” and spent a lot of time working outside, planting trees and pruning them. Above all, he loved his dog, Dakota.
He is survived by his beloved wife: Patricia; daughters: Vera Best and Erika Lindberg; step-son: Thomas Morris; grandchildren: Jennifer Best and James Morris; siblings: Donna Keli, Helen (Bob) Vallad, Irene Garrison, Carol (Larry) Hunter, and Mary Copa; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Joseph Lindberg, Ellen Cummings, Donald Lindberg, Gene Lindberg, Henry Lindberg, Orville Lindberg, and Shirley James.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin.
