Rhoda E. Cripps

Rhoda Elaine Cripps, 90, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at the Gladwin Pines on Saturday, September 29, 2018. She was born in West Branch, Michigan on April 2, 1928 the daughter of Lloyd & Helena (Banks) Richmond. On June 15, 1946 she married her true love, Leo Cripps in Ubly, Michigan. They celebrated 70 wonderful years together before he predeceased her in 2016. Rhoda had spent most of her life in Gladwin County and she was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children: Val   Cripps of Fort Mill, South Carolina; Marvin (Kathy) Cripps of California; Dennis Cripps of Gladwin; Becky Cripps also of Gladwin. She was blessed with 12 beautiful grandchildren and 12 precious great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her sisters: Pat Stevens of Florida; Sherry Vanconant of Jackson, MI; sister in-law: Joyce Richmond of Milford, MI. She is preceded in death by her husband: Leo Cripps; parents: Lloyd & Helena Richmond; brother: Jim Richmond; daughter in-law: Linda Cripps; 2 brother in-laws: Ed Stevens and Jim Vanconant. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Joe Dorais on Thursday, October 4, 2018, 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. She will be laid to rest at Butman Twp. Cemetery, Gladwin, Michigan.
