Raymond Sobolewski "Stas"

Raymond E. Sobolewski, "STAS" 86, of Beaverton, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023. He was born on November 25, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Peter and Louise (Jach) Sobolewski.

On July 15, 1960, Raymond married the love of his life, Annette Oberloier, in Chicago. Together for 63 years, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

Raymond proudly served in the United States Army, demonstrating his commitment to his country. Upon his return, he worked diligently in various facets of the local plastics industry in Clare, Beaverton, and Gladwin, until his well-deserved retirement from Homestead Products Inc.

Raymond was known for his passion as a collector. Whether it was coins, baseball cards, or any intriguing item that caught his interest, he found joy in the art of collecting. His enthusiasm for these hobbies reflected his curious and appreciative spirit.

He is survived by his loving wife, Annette, his sons, Michael and Steve Sobolewski, and his cherished grandchildren, Joseph and Sean. He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Louise Sobolewski, and his sister Henrietta Bell.

In accordance with Raymond's wishes, cremation has taken place, and at this time, no services are planned. The compassionate arrangements are entrusted to Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
