Pierce "Pete" Hock

Pierce "Pete" Hock, 82, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at his home. He was born on January 29, 1937, the son of Loring & Alice (Mitchell) Hock in Midland. On November 24, 1973, he was united in marriage to his true love Sonjia Ritchie. He was employed as a Millwright for Dow Chemical for 32 years until his retirement. He has lived in Gladwin County for the past 55 years, previously residing in Midland. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 45 years: Sonjia Hock of Gladwin; children: Robert (Betty) Benmark of Lebanon, TN; Faith Hock of Gladwin; Pamela (Jerry Wade) Benmark of Gladwin; Todd Benmark of Detroit; Amy (Tom) Fuller of Door; Ralph Hock of Gladwin; Brian Benmark of Gladwin; Justine Cailloutte of Temple, TX; Julie (Brett) Sloan of Shelbyville. His children blessed him with 47 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Vera Miller of Grand Rapids & Katherine Morse of Midland; several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Effie Christie; great granddaughter: Stephanie Cromwell; brothers: Louis, Don & Loring; sisters: Virginia, Lottie & Janice. Memorial Services will be conducted by Elder Jim Henderson on Monday, July 8, 2019, 12:00 noon at the Community of Christ Church, Gladwin.
