Phyllis Wallace, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021.
Phyllis Wallace is survived by her husband Bill Wallace whom she loved for 37 wonderful years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her passions included making quilts and spending time with the many beloved friends she met during her life. She loved discussing politics and how to make this world a better place for the next generation. Phyllis held a compassionate career as a nurse, starting at the Emergency Medical Center of Flint, Michigan and later retiring from MidMichigan Medical Center in Gladwin.
She will be remembered for her kindness, insight, and humor. Phyllis’s legacy is the love and joy she provided in life; inspiring her friends and family to this day. We will miss her until we meet again.
Left to cherish her memory are her, spouse: William Wallace of Gladwin Michigan; children: Jamie and Scott Gray, Richard and Susan MacInnes, Pat and Rik Duce; Grand Children: Paul and Maria Duce, Ann and Ryan Dorhout, Jamie and Daniel Quintero, Laura and Justin Laps, Jenny Gray, Russell Duce and Ross and Alyssa Jord and great grand children: Corey, Dyllon, Austin, Gia, Aiden, George, Ember, Zoe, Anna, Melody, Myah, Ashley, Reed; brothers: Roy Porter, Clarence and Vicky Cunningham; she had a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews: Eric, Chris, Paula and Hank; step children: Julie and Dennis Coleman, Catherine and John Cunningham, Ryan and Christine Wallace, and Andrea and Steve Lowe; ; step grandchildren: Eric, Kevin, Lisa, Ashley, Brianna, David, Patrick, Ryan Jr., and Mackenzie; several step great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother: Elizabeth and Ralph Nowak; father: Marvin Porter; sister: Helen and Hank Edelenbos; step son: Michael Wallace.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, from 1-4:00 P.M. with a family service at 4:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. A private burial will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery in Grand Blanc.
