Phyllis June Taylor, 97, of Lake City, died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 25, 2021 of natural causes with family by her side. She was born on January 17, 1924, in Detroit, MI to Nicholas and Lella Schultz. She married Richard Earl Taylor on June 18, 1942, in Gladwin.
Her happiest roles in life were those of wife, mother, and grandmother. She had 24 grandchildren and 36 greats and 16 great great grandchildren. She was an avid seamstress and crafter. She had a passion for traveling with her husband in their Airstream. She was always doing for others whenever needed.
She is survived by her children Marilyn Sue (Lee) Walworth , Lee Taylor, Peggy (Rod) Nappier, Lori (Jerry) Herendeen, grandchildren: Tim Taylor, Jim (Mindy) Taylor, Michelle (Al) Barker, Jolene Holmes, Brian Walworth, Julie (Jason) Haas, Richard (Lisa) Taylor, Paula Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Adam Taylor, Alan Nappier, Amy Nappier, Tina (Lamaar) Forest, Eric Eckland, Jill (Andy) Robertson, Jami (Theresa) Herendeen.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Nick and Lella Shultz; her husband: Richard; son: Tim Taylor; and brother: Eugene Schultz.
Phyllis will be laid to rest beside her husband, Richard, whom she was joyfully reunited with in Heaven.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at the Community of Christ Church in Gladwin. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Michigan, American Eye Institute or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
