Paul Don Joyce

Don Joyce was born on October 17, 1930 in Salina, Kansas. He died on August 24,2023. When he was two years old, his father was transferred back to Denver, Colorado where Don attended Regis High School and College. He lived and worked in the Denver area until he was transferred by AT&T to Detroit, Michigan in 1967. He retired from AT&T in 1989 and moved with his beloved wife Sue, to Sugar Springs, Michigan. where they resided until 2013. He was elected and served four terms as the Clerk of Butman Township from until 2012.

He is survived by his Sons: Alan of Thornton, Colorado and Scott of Grand Junction, Colorado; Daughters Sandra Joyce and Wendy Fenton of Durango, Colorado, Kelly Wilson of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Lisa Joyce Goes of Naples, Florida, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his Parents: Edna (Becker) Joyce and William Gerald (Jerry) Joyce Sr.; his Sister Mary Lou Douglas: his Wife Madeline (Susan) Joyce, his brother Jerry Joyce, his Daughter Linda (Joyce) Fasciani; his sons David Paul Joyce and Brian Patrick Joyce.

Don was commissioned a Catholic Lay Minister by the Bishop of Saginaw and served his parish of Sacred Heart for several years until he retired from active service in 2013.

A service will be held on Friday, September 8, at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Mission.
