Patrick W. Smith

Patrick William Smith, 84, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away at Medilodge of Clare in Clare, Michigan on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. He was born in Newark, Ohio on October 6, 1934 the son of Gerald & Hilah (Vorhees) Smith. He first married Marcia Conley and they together raised 4 wonderful children. She predeceased him, and then he married Pamela Perry in Belleville, Michigan on June 1, 1996. Patrick was a veteran of the United States Army. He had lived in Gladwin County since 1996, previously residing in Royal Oak, and he was a member of F.O.E. Gladwin Aerie 3292. His memory will be cherished by his loving wife: Pamela Smith of Beaverton; daughter: Eileen Smith of Dublin, Ohio; son: Michael (Elaine) Smith of Sherman, Connecticut; daughter: Kathleen (Scott) Saunders of Leesburg, Virginia; son: Kevin (Holly) Smith of Royal Oak. His children blessed him with 5 precious grandchildren: Chelsea; Michaela; Liam; Margaret and Owen. He is preceded in death by his parents; Gerald & Hilah Smith and his brother: Richard Smith. Honoring the wishes of the family, cremation has taken place, and there will be a celebration of his life, held at a later date.
