Milton Forrest Bain, age 94, of Gladwin, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025. He was born on March 3, 1930, the son of Forrest and Lena (Goth) Bain in Allen County, Indiana. At the age of 17, Milton proudly joined the Air Force, serving his country with dedication. After his military service, he built a successful career as a machinist for General Motors. In 1985, Milton married Bonnie Halliwill, and together they shared a life filled with love and cherished memories.
After retiring and moving to the Gladwin area in 1990 from Linden, Mi. Milt enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking through the woods in the Blue Lake area. Bonnie and Milt were able to travel extensively throughout the United States for many years.
Milton is survived by his wife, Bonnie; Children - Sally (Tom) Stobaugh, Jackie (Dan) Schmidt, Jill Bain, Jody Greenwood, Milt (Amy) Bain, Jr. ; Step-Children - Ken (Jan Marx-Harris) Harris, Karen Brady, Kathryn (Dan Lauderbaugh) Halliwill. Milton also had 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife: Betty; 9 siblings; step-daughter, Teri Porter; and two great grandsons.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services being planned at this time. As a special thank you from the family, memorial contributions can be made to Woodland Hospice House in Mount Pleasant, MI.
