Merry Blades, 79, of Beaverton, passed away on December 5, 2023. She was born on February 1, 1944, to Thomas and Christina Dunne. On November 12, 1960, Merry married the love of her life, Gary Blades, in Beaverton. Gary preceded her in death on October 29, 2023.

Merry dedicated 30 plus years to Dow Corning, where she served as a Supervisor until her retirement.

She enjoyed the great outdoors, Merry found joy in activities like hunting and fishing. Her beloved horse, Prince, held a special place in her heart, reflecting her love for her animals.

Merry's family was the center of her world. She adored her children: Michael (Becky) Blades, Teresa Blades, and Thomas (Bethany) Blades. Her grandchildren: Brandi, Henry, Chandler, Jamey, Jett, Jaydon, Jack, and Tucker; Merry was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Noah, Jaydyn, Jace, River, Caleb, Channing, and one more on the way, as well as a great-great-grandchild, Elias. Her grandchildren were a source of immense pride and joy.

She is also survived by her sisters, Sherry (Bob) Weaver and Sue (Steve) Schmeck, brother-in-law, Larry (Mary) Blades, and her two dogs, Black Jack, and Little Bear.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Merry's life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11 A.M. at Dale United Methodist Church, Beaverton. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 8, 2023, from 5-7 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton. Merry will be laid to rest at Dale Cemetery.
