Merlin L. Wooley, 79, of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 8, 2017. He was born on February 1, 1938, the son of Steve & Vera (Patrick) Wooley in Beaverton. On October 5, 1956, he was united in marriage to Rose Steele in Beaverton. He has lived in Gladwin County his entire life and he retired from Dow Corning as a millwright. Merlin was a man who possessed many talents. He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Rose Wooley of Beaverton; son: Louis Wooley of Beaverton; sisters: Donna Wilson of Beaverton; Bonnie Grant of Sanford; Luella Glesner of Midland; sister in-laws: Lola Steele of Gladwin; Helen VanHorn of Beaverton; and many nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother in-laws: Ed Glesner; Wilbur Grant; Cladius Wilson; Nelson Steele; Roy VanHorn; mother in-law: Edith Wilkinson. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Troy Lusk & Adam Drudge on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
