Melinda K. Jenkinson

Melinda K. Jenkinson, 48, of Wyoming, MI began her walk with Jesus on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. She was born in Battle Creek, MI on August 9, 1969 the only daughter of Don & Tami (Fink) Jenkinson. She had lived in Kent County MI for the last 16 years, previously residing in Gladwin, and she was employed with the State of Michigan, Department of Human Services. She was an avid reader and the author of 3 books and many poems. She was a very loving mother and grandmother doting on her precious grandbabies. She was a very kind and thoughtful friend to many. Her beautiful smile and kind spirit will live on in the hearts of her 2 children: Andrew (Emily) Jenkinson; Cassandra Jenkinson and grandchildren: Tristan and Elayna all of Wyoming, MI. Her memory will be forever cherished by her parents: Don and Tami Jenkinson of Gladwin; brothers: Michael (Suzanne) Jenkinson of Gladwin; Matthew (Lisa Kish) Jenkinson of Fenton; grandmother: Selma Jenkinson of Gladwin; dear nieces: Stephanie (Don) Dutcher and children Josephine, Carolyn, and Keelie of Mt. Pleasant, Brittany (Kyle) Yenor of Ann Arbor, Andrea (Hugh) Jenkins and children Landon, Isabella and Abigail of Gladwin, Michelle (Bradley) Strunk of Gladwin, Deanna Jenkinson of Linden, Maddison Jenkinson of Fenton and dear nephew Brandon Jenkinson of Linden.  She is preceded in death by her grandparents: James & Roberta Fink and grandfather: Maurice Jenkinson.  Memorial Services will be conducted by Pastor Joe Dorais on Saturday, March 17, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Gladwin, MI. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Those wishing to send an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers are asked to consider the wishes of the family.
