Matthew A. Dambro

Matthew A. Dambro, 67, of Sugar Springs, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. He was born on August 2, 1951, the son of the late Matthew P. & Alice D. (Pietrzak) Dambro in Saginaw, Michigan. Matthew graduated from Saginaw Arthur Hill High School in the Class of 1969. Following graduation, Matthew proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He later attended and completed his Undergraduate program at Saginaw Valley College before attending The State University New York at Binghamton, completing his Master’s Degree in History. He finished his education at the University of Michigan with his Juris Doctorate. After completion of school Matthew held numerous positons for Bay & Saginaw Counties before retiring as a Referee from 10 ^th Circuit Court, Family Division, Juvenile Section in Saginaw County. Soon after retiring Matthew moved from Auburn to Gladwin and settled in the Sugar Springs area. He was an avid reader, writer, and loved spending time outdoors. He was a kind hearted man who was a loving son, father, grandfather & brother. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Matthew P. (Stephanie) Dambro of South Korea; Daniel A. (Samantha) Dambro of Rochester, New York; granddaughter: Gabrielle; sister: Laurie (Bill) Davis of Higgins Lake. He is preceded in death by his parents & brother: William A. Dambro. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place and memorial services may be held at a later date.
