Mary Jean Thick, 78, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. She was born in Midland, Michigan on November 2, 1939 to Vernon & Lena (Bauss) Beckman. On January 23, 1960 she was united in marriage to Raymond Thick in Flint, Michigan. They shared 40 wonderful years together before he predeceased her in 2000. She moved to Gladwin County in 1994 from Flint, and she was employed with Briarwood Manor until her retirement. She was a member of F.O.E. Albright Shores Aerie 3655 Auxiliary. Her memory will be cherished by her only daughter: Sandra (Bryan) Boyl of Beaverton; brother: Lawrence (Rose) Beckman of Midland; sister: Susie (Roger) Bazzell of Flint; sister in-law: Janice Beckman of Harrison; Goddaughter: Linda Day of Beaverton and several nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband: Raymond Thick; parents: Vernon & Lena Beckman; 2 sisters: Leona and Dorothy; 4 brothers: Chuck, Vernon, Harold and Robert Beckman. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, 1:00 pm, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
