Marvin N. Resztak, 76, of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Hospital, Saginaw. He was born on August 16, 1941, the son of Bruno & Irene (Golda) Resztak in Detroit. On October 14, 1961, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Zanley in Detroit. Marvin started working for McArdles Dealership in Midland and then later Dirk Waltz Dealership in Midland. He later became owner of the Welcome Motel in West Branch and then opened up Marv’s transmissions in Sanford. He was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Edenville. He has lived in Gladwin County since 1973, previously residing in Detroit. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years: Geraldine Resztak of Beaverton; daughter: Suzanne (Michael) Jenkinson of Gladwin; son: Nicholas (Tammy) Resztak of West Branch; grandchildren: Stephanie (Don) Dutcher, Andrea (Hugh) Jenkins, Candace Resztak, Nicholas Resztak and Michelle Jenkinson (Fiancé’ Bradley Strunk); great grandchildren: Landon, Josephine, Carolyn, Isabella, Abigail & Keelie; sisters: Rosemary (Al) Furchak & Marsha Dyjak. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother in-law: Roger Dyjak. Funeral Mass will be conducted by Father Dan Fox on Friday, October 20, 2017, 11:00 A.M. with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Grace (St. Anne) Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017, from 12-8:00 P.M. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, Michigan. He will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Gladwin, Michigan. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
