Lyle A. Shue, 68, of Rhodes, passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. He was born on February 10, 1955, the son of Lyle and Joyce (Gee) Shue in Grant. Lyle’s passion was to work on vehicles. He retired in auto body repair, restoration and paint. He could FIX it all. He restored several classic cars over the years. He also enjoyed racing and watching NASCAR. When he wasn’t fixing something, Lyle would go fishing, gambling at the casino, or working in the garden.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Sabrina (Jeff) Sauer, Bree-Ann (Brandon) Dowd; son: Mark (Trisha) Strawn; grandchildren: Hunter (17), Foster (17), Aurora (15), Ryder (15), Lillyana (12), and Waverly (3). He is also survived by his mother: Joyce Shue (Gee) and siblings: Joyce (Daryl) Duncan, Marilyn (Terry) Eicholtz, Duane Shue, Kitty (Ray) Gonzales, Ellie (Dan) Dinsmore, Rosanna Shue, and Adam (Angie) Shue.
He is preceded in death by his father: Lyle Shue.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 22, from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm with a service at noon at the Community of Christ Church in Gladwin, MI. There will be a dinner following the service.
