Luella Broka

Luella J. Broka, 95, of Beaverton, Michigan, left this earth to be with her Lord on Friday November 25, 2022. Luella was born November 27, 1926, in Hope, Michigan to Daniel and Anna (Ashbrook) Broka the ninth of eleven children. She was raised on various farms in Gladwin County.

Before her retirement, Luella worked as custodial staff in Beaverton Schools. She was a member of the Beaverton United Methodist Church, where she was involved in several children’s ministries and women’s groups. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. When she was able, she watched Detroit Tiger baseball and cheered them on. She spent many hours crocheting, continuing well into her 90’s.

Luella is survived by her numerous generations of her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her five brothers: David and Mildred Broka, Harold and Orrine Broka, George and Esther Broka, James and Joy Broka, and Lloyd and Mary Jane Broka; and five sisters: James and Alma Clore, Don and Helen Rousseau, Virgil and Marie Clark, Palmer and Clara Peterson, Roy and Norma Jean Lakso.

Funeral Services wll be conducted on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovoch Funeral Home, Beaverton, Michigan. Vistation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will be at Beaverton Cemetery.
