Lois K. Lechner, age 97, of Gladwin, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024. She was born on May 22, 1927, the daughter of John and Mary (Donahue) Yantz, in Detroit, MI. She moved to West Branch at 5 years old where she lived until she met the love of her life. On May 21, 1949, Lois married Luther Lechner. Together, they shared many years of love and cherished memories until he preceded her in death in 1996.
Lois was a lifetime devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was known to many as Ma Lechner. She loved cardinals and gardening. Most of all, she loved her family.
She is survived by her son: Terry (Debra) Lechner; daughter: Karen (Doug) Sheehan; grandchildren: Jody (Jeff) Grant, Amy (Larry) Miller, Sara Shea (Mike Stenger), Todd Lechner, Shannon (Doug) Macon, Angie (Dan) Snyder, and Tom (Samantha) Newman; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way due in November.
She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Mary; husband: Luther; and son: Lynn; and daughter-in-law: Kristie.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin.
