Lila E. Ritchie

Lila Elaine Ritchie, 98, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at the Gladwin Nursing & Rehab on Monday, October 22, 2018. She was born in Gladwin on January 18, 1920 the daughter of William & Margaret (Cuddie) Vanhorn. On May 20, 1939 she was united in marriage to Vern Ritchie in Gladwin. They celebrated 46 wonderful years together before he predeceased her in 1985. She was a homemaker and lifetime resident of Gladwin County. Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughter: Sonjia (Pierce) Hock of Gladwin; sons: Thomas (Mary) Ritchie of Kalkaska; Michael (Karen) Ritchie of Lapeer; Stephen (Doris) Ritchie of Gladwin; Vern Patrick (Brenda) Ritchie of Lapeer; daughter: Beth Ritchie and Jim Wolfe of Gladwin. Her children blessed her with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband: Vern Ritchie; parents: William & Margaret VanHorn and 3 sisters. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, October 26, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 2-8:00 P.M. She will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Gladwin.
