On August 11, 2017 Lewis E. Richmond, 84, of Midland, Michigan went home and is now at peace with his Lord and Savior. He was born on March 27, 1933 in Clare, Michigan the son of Clifford & Vera (Behnke) Richmond. On June 14, 1952, he was united in marriage to his true love, Verna Scheele in Gladwin, Michigan. They shared 61 wonderful years together before she predeceased him in 2013. He had spent most of his life in Gladwin County, but lived the last 14 years between Gladwin Assisted Living and Medilodge in Midland, where he passed away, and he was a lifetime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gladwin. He was employed with Dow Chemical for 34 years and retired in 1985 at the age of 52. Louie was known for his continuous Yard Sale on M-18. His memory will be forever cherished by his son: Darryl Richmond; daughter: LaVona Richmond both of Midland. He was blessed with 2 beautiful grandchildren: Melissa of Midland and a grandson: Matthew who predeceased him. He will also be dearly missed by his great-granddaughter Everly, along with his sisters: Evelyn (Max) Shull and Ruth Ann Richmond; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife: Verna Richmond; grandson: Matthew; parents; brother: Don Richmond; sister in-law: Delores Spitler; brother in-law: Herb Scheele; niece: Deanna Yats; nephew: Robert Spitler. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor James Krach on Monday, August 14, 2017, 7:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, Michigan.
