Lawrence “Larry” Henry Ulbrich, 84, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2018, at Huron Valley Hospital in Commerce Twp., Michigan. He was born on August 11, 1933, the son of Silvinius & Mary (Grix) Ulbrich in Ferndale, Michigan. On January 28, 1956 in East Detroit, Michigan, he was united in marriage to Peggy Conway. They celebrated 62 wonderful years together before she predeceased him in February of 2018. Larry was a veteran of the United States Air Force, proudly serving his county during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Chrysler, and retired working as an efficiency expert. Larry and Peggy moved to Gladwin County in 1996, previously residing in Union Lake, Michigan, and he was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin. Left to cherish his memory is his 4 daughters: Diane Bathurst of White Lake; Julie Ulbrich of Davisburg; Mary Beth Wilson of Commerce Twp.; Becky (Jack) Jones of Davisburg. He was blessed with 5 beautiful grandchildren and 5 precious great grandchildren. Waiting to receive him in his heavenly home is his wife: Peggy Ulbrich and his parents. Funeral Mass will be conducted by Fr. Marcel Portelli on Thursday, July 12, 2018, 12:00 noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, July 12 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Gladwin, Michigan.Those wishing to send an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association.
