Larry Newman

March 12, 1942 — September 8, 2022

On the morning of September 8 , 2022 , Larry Newman unexpectedly passed away at the age of 80 , at his home. Larry was born to the late Glen and Edith Newman on Mar ch 12, 1942 , in Rural Hatton Township in C lare County .

The power of love runs deep, our dad/pa pa passed away just five short weeks after the love of his life C arolyn pass ed . He was broken hearted and missed her so much, there is no other place he would rather be than with her. Larry and Carolyn were married on December 10, 1960 , at Caroyln’s sister’s h o use in Mason, Michigan.

Larry bought the Freelan d Security Septic Tank Company in 1972 , and moved it to Be averton , he c hanged t h e name t o Beaverton Security Septi c Tank Compan y and started Beaverton Security Excavating the same year ; where it still resi des today.

They have two children Vicki (Jeff) Seiter of Farwell , MI, and Kurt (Terrie) Newman of Beaverton, MI. He has three grandchildren Jessi (Ryan) Harris of Beaverton, MI, Zak (Skylar) Newman of Beaverton, MI, and Josh (Abbey) Newman of Beaverton , M I. L a rr y also has three great grandchildren, Korbin and Had Lee Harris, and Myles Newman.

While Larry had many activities , whether i t be riding his tractors, farming, hunting, fixing something in his shop , or spending time with his family , he always was so ac ti ve . He lov e d the outdoors and was one of the smartest m e n we knew. He also was a founding member of the Eddy End Cl ub. His greatest love was for his childre n, g randchildren, and great-grandchildren. Larry and Carolyn loved to go on their rides to gether and they always would end up at the cabin .

Larry is survived by his sisters Joyce and George E arle of Clare, Ruth and S am Bagnieski of Beaverton, his brother J im a nd Shirley Newman o f Gladwin , his sist er -in-law Suzie Newman, and h is broth er - in - law E ld o n and Dorothy Coats .

Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn, parents Glen and Ed ith Ne wman, his brother Rollie Newman, his mother and father-in-law Harley and Ruth Coats , h is sister -i n-law s D e lores , Wilma and (Jack) Newm an, h is brother -in-law s J oe (Betty) Coats and Ralph (Annie) Coats .

W e k n o w that they are back together in each other’s arms ta king their p recious dog Katie for a long walk.

Larry and Carolyn were an in tegral part of the Beaverton Community, and were instrumental in the are a s development. To continue the efforts they began, the Newman family would like to ask those planning an expression of sympathy to consider donations ma de in Larry and Carol yn s name to the Beaverton Community Athleti c Park (BCAP), which i s being developed at Calhoun Campg round. On October 8 th there will be a service hel d at Arthur Township Cemetery at 1 : 00 P.M . with a memor ial imm ed iately following at the family ca bin. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
