Keith Gransden

Keith R. Gransden, 81, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at his home on Saturday, February 24, 2018. He was born in Plymouth, Michigan on January 24, 1937 the son of Harry & Gathel (Spangler) Gransden. On October 22, 1976 he was united in marriage to his true love, Mary E. Thorpe in Howell, Michigan. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. After his retirement he moved to Gladwin County in 2002, previously residing in Ann Arbor area, and he was a member of the South Lyon V.F.W., F.O.E. Secord Lake Aerie 4121 and the Big Boys of Gladwin County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling by car. He was a great fabricator and was very good at working with wood and leather working. He worked in gravel pits as an operator, welder and fabricator. Keith was a wonderful husband and he was a great father and grandfather. Once he met you, you were a friend for life, and he was more than willing to help anyone in need. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary E. Gransden of Gladwin; 4 sons: Jeff (Sherry) Gransden; Mike (Mary A.) Gransden; Jody Gransden all of Whittemore Lake; John (Angela) Thorpe of Linden. His children blessed him with 12 beautiful grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. He is preceded in death by 1 son: Edward Thorpe; parents: Harry & Gathel Gransden; sister: Pat; brother: William.
